Designation: AVP - Operations [Ctc band 35 lacs - 1 Cr pa+]

Company Profile: A fledgling giant already in the eCommerce market, this company, today employs over 1500 employees & has operations spanning 12 cities PAN India. With plans for global expansion & huge target markets, altogether with an unprecedented growth rate, they are looking for the best of talent to partner with in their growth story.

Location: Powai, Mumbai, India.

Current Ctc of Applicant should be: Between 35 lacs p.a to 1 Cr p.a  

Role Outline:
  • Around 15 years+ of experience in Operations of which atleast 3-5 years should be in an eCommerce company (driving logistical support -a must, sales operations, customer care, etc). 
  • Responsible for building, developing and operating sophisticated operating procedures and manuals, training programmes, & ensuring smooth operations of the company & its 1500+ employees across 10 locations PAN India. Overseeing 700-1000 indirect reportees & 4-5 direct reportees. 
  • Looking for a strong background in Logistics, CRM, Customer Service, Sales operations, Listing operations, delivery & expansion activities PAN India.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Full responsibility in ensuring company wide Operational Excellence, elimination of bottlenecks, compliance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), excellence in logistical support, the highest standards of service and the ability to provide top skills in customer care and the highest standards of service – in delivery in pre-determined timelines & achievement of that turnaround time and quality of delivery – within a high volume environment.
  • Responsibility for setting up management systems to ensure consistent efficient comprehensive controls, reporting and analysis for existing and future growth.
  • Full responsibility for developing impeccable and comprehensive operating manuals, standard operating procedures, training procedures.
  • Driving the highest standards while the company expands.
  • Responsibility for up to ten cities PAN India & counting. Possible addition of international locations in the foreseeable future.
  • Achieving the agreed upon business plans and budgets.
  • Responsibility for scaling up the business along with Senior Management vision.
  • Management of all new openings.
  • Management Training and development.
  • General staff team building.
  • General cost controls, meeting and beating targets and budgets.
  • General compliance & maintenance across locations – security, Standard operating procedures, etc for all sites.
Target Industries: FMCG, Consumer Goods, Telecom, Internet Companies, eCommerce, Diversified Conglomerates, Food production & manufacture, Confectionery, etc. but experience in eCommerce for atleast 3-5 years is a must have (logistical support).

Current Ctc of Applicant should be: Between 75 lacs p.a to 1.5 Cr p.a 

Role Outline:
  • Decision making Head & senior most professional in the company for Brand & Marketing functions & Communications for the Company.
  • The senior most “Brand Custodian” for all Company Marketing activities & communications.
  • Being the senior most leadership position, the incumbent is a key marketing resource for Company Communications & will have Heads of ATL/BTL/Digital/Design/Buying reporting into him/her, hence should have experience of atleast 5-6 years of having senior level marketing heads reporting into him/her.
  • Since the hiring company is already a fledgling eCommerce business, the incumbent should possess/display attributes which border on an entrepreneurial approach that is internet generation savvy & should have a keen understanding of Internet businesses marketing in India.
  • Brand identity compliance across the company & for all its products / service lines if present.
  • Marketing strategy & communication brainstorming, creation & execution along with established teams.
  • Managing marketing budgets for The Company & business units.
  • Plan and conduct customer and market researches as & when required.
  • Creating brand guidelines, framework and ensuring compliance.
  • Brand Identity framework, adherence and custodianship.
  • Management of Brand Properties, Alliances, Partnerships, Endorsements, etc.
  • Advertising guidelines framework, adherence and creative ownership.
  • Owner of Advertising budgets for The Company: Planning, implementation and monitoring. 
  • Knowledge Management Framework: Indian/ Global best practices
  • Web Management: Intranet/ Internet Portals of The Company corporate and all businesses.
  • Other shared marketing services to support individual businesses/ functions.
  • OOH assets (incl. Retail Signages).
  • Events (B2B, B2C).
  • Market Research.
  • Brand templates for internal/ external communication
  • Knowledge of communication tools, methods
  • Media management [ATL/BTL].
  • Understanding of company products, services and policies.
  • Ability to strategise, conceptualize and execute marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work with local/global teams to support development of company  brand in India & subsequently abroad.
  • Sound understanding of Marketing techniques, media (all), creative and integration with Business.
  • Detailed understanding of propositions, products and local market dynamics.
  • The ability to pre-empt product challenges, customer likes and dislikes and building initiatives around the ‘experience’ the customer can have while choosing the company’s services.
  • Understanding of the regulatory, business, social environment that the company operates in. Awareness of regulatory requirements related to brands, trademarks, general communications etc.
  • Constantly working with Product teams. Keeping abreast with overall business and sharing responsibilities.
  • Conducting Agency briefing sessions and evaluating their performance.
Qualifications Required:

Graduate with an MBA, with specialization in marketing, preferably from a Tier-I B-School. Qualifications above & beyond that are welcome.

Experience Required
:

A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience with proven track record of creating mega-brands in Indian and Global markets. The incumbent should be a savvy marketer and a sales experience in FMCG/Consumer Goods & Services/Internet & or Telecom. The best of networks & expertise in ATL channels, BTL being secondary but still important, is a must. Television ad spots, Broadcast Marketing, Publications, Radio, etc marketing experience is a must for atleast 4-5 years in overall experience.
5-6 years of this experience should be in Handling big teams for go-to-market activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for demand/lead generation for all categories, stakeholders & geographies.
  • Conceptualize different BTL activities at a locality level based on business requirements.
  • Planning and executing responsive lead solutions to categories on a timely basis.
  • Manage and measure effectiveness of all kind of BTL campaigns.
  • Handle a team of 100 people across geographies and categories.
  • Head Operations for business growth & profitability and implement the project pipe line and transitioning from start-up phase to Business.
  • Implement strategies for augmenting business, identifying and penetrating new market segments.
    Designing & implementing marketing plans for augmenting the business volume by enhancing brand visibility & recall.

  • Strong capabilities in coordinating the supplier’s chain (i.e.: execution of creative, media, PR, events & BTL programs for existing clients and pitch new clients) IS A MUST.
