This is an opportunity with a fast growing e-commerce giant, for a very astute, seasoned Social media maven who will get a chance to work in a really comprehensive role, driving social media engagements across the company’s product lines.

Profile Outline
The Social Media Head is responsible for overseeing the Company’s Social Media Strategy and Social Media investments across all internal brands and platforms. This role coordinates with the Editorial, Marketing, Tech and miscellaneous Production teams as well as Board Members to support the Company’s brand mission. The position involves ensuring their social media broadcasting is fully integrated with all other efforts across the Company’s portfolio, integrating all media to transmit a unified branding message as well as managing the Central Social Media budget. The Social Media head will ensure that various social media tools and campaigns are being designed and utilized in conjunction with the company’s Social Media strategy and will garner positive results for the company. In addition, this position will be responsible for ensuring that Social Media Campaigns across the company are aligned with each other and the overall Social Media strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Create the social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the Company to ensure its effectiveness and ensure the adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the company’s products and services.
  • Own the roadmap budget for the social media tools in use on the Company’s sites, directing social media tool integration.
  • Recruit and oversee the Social Media Team, ensuring a superior quality of communication and project delivery is provided at all times.
  • Coordinate the planning of social media campaigns, ensuring customer acquisition and supporting monetization across the company’s portfolio.
  • Source and manage relationships with social monitoring and platform partners to support and develop commercial opportunities.
  • Act as the advocate of social media integration within the Company, influencing overall site and business strategies.
  • Provide benchmarks and analyse data provided by the Social Media Team, to inform company-wide decision-making and commercial campaign targets are met.
  • Monitor and comment on trends in social media trends and application, acting as company spokesperson within the Social Media industry.
  • Monitor the competition and be aware of market changes and developments.
  • Determine the strategic direction and oversee operations of any/all Social Media initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy that defines how social media marketing techniques will be applied to increase visibility and traffic across all brands and products.
  • Lead the development of organization-wide social media management standards, policies and rules of engagement for social media.
  • Accountable for achieving all defined Social Media goals consistently & building on new ones.
  • Define key performance indicators and implement enterprise level measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success.
  • Direct work relationships with the Community Managers, Social Media Analyst and Content Editiors; thought leadership to all teams concerned.
  • Align all social strategies with other teams and projects to ensure integration and support
  • Ensure high quality execution and management of all social communities and assets
  • Keep up with industry trends, identifying growth opportunities and potential partners
  • Lead cross-company projects, continually seeking new points of innovation while disseminating knowledge of social media industry, process, best practices and capabilities
  • Create and implement innovative social media campaign ideas for current and future communities (both internal and external).
  • Maintain a high profile within the social media industry via key alliances with leading social media experts and events.
  • Manage all vendor and partner relationships.
  • Manage Social Media budgets.

Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge, understanding & experience of atleast 8 -10 years of social media and networking platforms keeping abreast of all latest advancements in technology & social media platforms.
  • Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and fantastic interpersonal and presenting skills
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Deep knowledge of the Company’s industry
  • Experience of business and strategy development
  • Ability to build and leverage a strong network of industry peers and partners to keep abreast of best practices in Social Media

This is a dynamic new role that will lead efforts to build a winning content marketing strategy that increases the company’s brand awareness and helps drive customer acquisition and loyalty. The successful candidate will drive development and deployment of engaging, high quality content across various channels including the website, the blog, social media, email, print and campaigns. You  will implement best practices for content creation, reuse and optimize in order to maximize return on the company’s content investment. He or she will work closely with the broader marketing teams, customers, and external resources to conceptualize and develop effective marketing content such as customer success stories, eBooks, infographics, product collateral, videos, white papers, and more,.

They are looking for a prolific content marketer who understands the value of content being marketed right & in every way possible to create the impact the company brand is looking for. The Content Marketing Head will oversee all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats to drive complete engagement & retention of its targeted consumers, branding & lead generation for all company product lines. This position will drive the creation of marketing channels of high-impact content including highly shareable assets such eblasts, videos, web content, blog posts, and associated social media content.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a cross-channel content marketing strategy that translates business and marketing goals into meaningful content deliverables
  • Create and maintain a functional editorial calendar for corporate content
  • Manage the content development process from end to end working with both internal and external content contributors and creative resources
  • Assure that all content is optimized for search engines, sharing and distribution across channels
  • Establish and manage work flow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, translating, and retiring content
  • Manage social media strategy and deployment of content across key social channels
  • Establish and maintain content standards in terms of quality, tone, style and grammar
  • Lead efforts to continually develop new content themes, topics and formats
  • Serve as the company’s content marketing expert by maintaining a pulse on the latest issues, developments and trends in content marketing and social media
  • Write short form marketing content as required.
  • Manage day to day digital marketing strategies including website content, web analytics, SEO, and online advertising
  • Develop and maintain a functional content calendar for content creation and implementation, & ensure it happens by collaborating with the content creation teams.
  • Set and achieve goals for holistic consumer engagement and content quality growth
  • Oversee social media activities cross departmentally and manage all social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+, Slideshare, Company Blogs, etc.
  • Create compelling, highly shareable marketing content.
  • Utilize social media to enhance campaign performance, build brand awareness, and leverage brand advocates
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of content marketing programs and campaigns
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience in all channels
  • Collaborate across the organization at all levels, in particular with Creatives, Research, Social Media, Brand strategy, etc.
  • Plan and manage the content and social media efforts by increasing engagement, optimizing for lead generation, and conversion.

  • Propose, plan and execute quarterly content calendar
  • Possess a deep understanding of all traffic-driving mechanisms (Social, Search, Browse, etc.) and actively engage in optimizing those channels for the business.
  • Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to measure performance and use insights to optimize the performance of traffic-driving initiatives and resulting conversion
  • Bring creative content ideas to the full marketing planning process.
  • Ensure integration of digital into overarching marketing programs campaigns / communication to existing customers
  • Drive industry best practices
    Collaborate with internal web development and creative teams to evolve the website by participating in the implementation process
  • Work closely with all marketing and other internal teams to ensure appropriate levels of integration
  • Stay on top of new products, brands, trends and markets and develop strategies for optimizing.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of marketing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, journalism or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in driving content strategy across channels, including social media
    Stellar writing and proof reading skills -- writing samples required.
  • Master project manager with proven skills in overseeing content projects and multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment
    B2B technology experience
  • Proven experience in creating content and copy for the web, social media, and even video.
  • Experience in planning and executing highly visible online content and related corporate marketing and/or demand generation marketing activities.
  • Excellent written English and strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Proven ability to effectively execute integrated, streamlined marketing programs
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels of an organization including the strategy team, executive, and fundamental corporate marketing function management.
  • Creative thinker that has the ability to bring new ideas to the table
  • Multi-tasker that can handle a multitude of different responsibilities at one time
  • Understanding of Integrated Marketing Campaign strategies and tactics

 Job Description:
  • The Candidate must possess a strong background in website analytics, digital marketing (especially search engine marketing & analytics), social media marketing, business intelligence tools, and internet technologies.
