Content Marketing Head - eCommerce Major, Mumbai location


This is a dynamic new role that will lead efforts to build a winning content marketing strategy that increases the company’s brand awareness and helps drive customer acquisition and loyalty. The successful candidate will drive development and deployment of engaging, high quality content across various channels including the website, the blog, social media, email, print and campaigns. You  will implement best practices for content creation, reuse and optimize in order to maximize return on the company’s content investment. He or she will work closely with the broader marketing teams, customers, and external resources to conceptualize and develop effective marketing content such as customer success stories, eBooks, infographics, product collateral, videos, white papers, and more,.  

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sr Level creative and energetic content marketing expert to make their mark in a fast paced, growing tech rich (ecommerce) company.This role would report into the VP Marketing and/or CMO or both.

Company Profile: E-commerce giant catering to Real Estate Listings, Requirements, Buying, Selling, Renting, etc. for mass/luxury markets PAN India & abroad. They are spread over 10 cities & have over 1500+ employees across locations.

They are looking for a prolific content marketer who understands the value of content being marketed right & in every way possible to create the impact the company brand is looking for. The Content Marketing Head will oversee all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats to drive complete engagement & retention of its targeted consumers, branding & lead generation for all company product lines. This position will drive the creation of marketing channels of high-impact content including highly shareable assets such eblasts, videos, web content, blog posts, and associated social media content.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a cross-channel content marketing strategy that translates business and marketing goals into meaningful content deliverables
  • Create and maintain a functional editorial calendar for corporate content
  • Manage the content development process from end to end working with both internal and external content contributors and creative resources
  • Assure that all content is optimized for search engines, sharing and distribution across channels
  • Establish and manage work flow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, translating, and retiring content
  • Manage social media strategy and deployment of content across key social channels
  • Establish and maintain content standards in terms of quality, tone, style and grammar
  • Lead efforts to continually develop new content themes, topics and formats
  • Serve as the company’s content marketing expert by maintaining a pulse on the latest issues, developments and trends in content marketing and social media
  • Write short form marketing content as required.
  • Manage day to day digital marketing strategies including website content, web analytics, SEO, and online advertising
  • Develop and maintain a functional content calendar for content creation and implementation, & ensure it happens by collaborating with the content creation teams.
  • Set and achieve goals for holistic consumer engagement and content quality growth
  • Oversee social media activities cross departmentally and manage all social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+, Slideshare, Company Blogs, etc.
  • Create compelling, highly shareable marketing content.
  • Utilize social media to enhance campaign performance, build brand awareness, and leverage brand advocates
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of content marketing programs and campaigns
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience in all channels
  • Collaborate across the organization at all levels, in particular with Creatives, Research, Social Media, Brand strategy, etc.
  • Plan and manage the content and social media efforts by increasing engagement, optimizing for lead generation, and conversion.
  • Envision and drive the online content strategy, and liaise with internal and external resources to execute
  • Propose, plan and execute quarterly content calendar
  • Possess a deep understanding of all traffic-driving mechanisms (Social, Search, Browse, etc.) and actively engage in optimizing those channels for the business.
  • Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to measure performance and use insights to optimize the performance of traffic-driving initiatives and resulting conversion
  • Bring creative content ideas to the full marketing planning process.
  • Ensure integration of digital into overarching marketing programs campaigns / communication to existing customers
  • Drive industry best practices
    Collaborate with internal web development and creative teams to evolve the website by participating in the implementation process
  • Work closely with all marketing and other internal teams to ensure appropriate levels of integration
  • Stay on top of new products, brands, trends and markets and develop strategies for optimizing.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of marketing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, journalism or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in driving content strategy across channels, including social media
    Stellar writing and proof reading skills -- writing samples required.
  • Master project manager with proven skills in overseeing content projects and multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment
    B2B technology experience
  • Proven experience in creating content and copy for the web, social media, and even video.
  • Experience in planning and executing highly visible online content and related corporate marketing and/or demand generation marketing activities.
  • Excellent written English and strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Proven ability to effectively execute integrated, streamlined marketing programs
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels of an organization including the strategy team, executive, and fundamental corporate marketing function management.
  • Creative thinker that has the ability to bring new ideas to the table
  • Multi-tasker that can handle a multitude of different responsibilities at one time
  • Understanding of Integrated Marketing Campaign strategies and tactics
  • Ability to understand marketing data and analysis and develop campaign recommendations from these insights
  • Ability to work cross group and drive results across external and internal constituents
  • Experience developing and delivering marketing plans to senior executive management
  • Enterprise software/B2B marketing experience desired
  • 3+ years experience in project management including scheduling and setting deadlines
  • Must be a digital native, with strong command of social media and content marketing disciplines
  • CRM experience and deep knowledge of online marketing and email best practices
  • Fluency in Google Analytics and social media marketing measurement and applications is preferred.
  • Experience within marketing/art/writing & editing/creative fields preferred.
