Currently seeking an VP – Finance to help grow & scale up business operations keeping the financial angle in perspective.

Job Description:

Accounting

• Manage the day-to-day accounting function of the company.
• Hire and manage a team of account professionals to run the accounting function over time.
• Deep understanding of revenue and expense recognition principles.

Compliance

• Deep understanding and exposure to variance compliance related issues e.g. Shops and establishment act; Central and state taxation; Statutory liabilities etc.
• Prior experience of having dealt with taxation and other government authorities.

Reporting

• Preparing monthly MIS to be shared with the management and the investors.
• Preparing the monthly P&L, Cash flow and balance sheet.
• Preparing reports for ad-hoc financial analysis requested by the management.

Audit

• Experience of having worked with Big 4 auditors in annual audit.
• Experience in driving internal audits.
• Managing external relationships.
• Some exposure in leading discussions and relationships with suppliers and legal representatives.

Prior experience:

• Must have managed accounting function in high growth environment
• Must have exposure to high transaction volume environment (e.g. 100s of vendors, 1000s of transactions per day)
• Preferably worked with an internet company and even better if worked in a start-up.
• Corporate Finance & Accounting experience with multi-locational service or service based organisations of repute.
•  Excellent communication and data presentation skills
• Maintaining Accounts in Excel.
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office.

Skills Required / Education Qualification:
Mandatorily Must Be a Chartered Accountant +6-8  years of Post Qualification experience

Other Skills:

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the company mission.
• Must be start-up & technologically high paced environment friendly.
• Must be able & willing to be the sole contributor from the finance team until more team members are added to the team.
