Chief Technology Officer (CTO) opening for Food tech Startup, Mumbai

Company Profile: A funded food tech startup, looking for a competent co-founding team.

Job Profile:
Quick Summary: 3-7 Years exp, IIT / BITS/ NIT Min 1.5 year of experience in Consumer tech. 

Who you are: The awesome news is, You will be a key member of the founding team and hence, a pivotal, senior level decision maker.  Problem solving is your thing, naturally. You will have at least 3-7 years of experience in the consumer tech field, and are ready to get behind the wheels of a growing food tech company as it readies to grab a $20 Billion market. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a geeky background, you love the spirit of adventure and are looking to take on responsibility in building something concrete, dipping into the boundless potential our company has.

Role:
Your job is in partnership with the CEO to establish the company’s technical vision.  You will be responsible for all technical development of the products, websites and digital media that we produce.  The CTO is responsible for direction in all technology-related issues.  They are also responsible for relating the client’s requirements back to deliverable pieces of digital marketing that function at the highest level.

The CTO is responsible for the technical team, which consists of development, testing, and app development.

  • Oversee projects from start to finish, optimizing time, skills of the team, and client budget.
  • Have a certain amount of client liaison and communication to establish detailed briefs and communicate stages of projects.
  • Review and analyze business projections for sales and expansion plans.
  • Establish financial benchmarks for the technical department.
  • Motivate, inspire and mentor their team. 
  • Educate the junior members of the team and develop their learning and knowledge.
  • Evaluate and approve hiring and employee performance by building a core team of developers, capable of catering to our client’s needs.
  • Ensure all software and hardware used by employees is secure, safe and sufficient for their needs.
  • Drive the company forward to grow and constantly achieve.
Strategy and Planning:Alongside the CEO, identify opportunities and potential risks for growth.
Identify technology trends and evolving social trends that may support or impede the business.
Evaluate potential technology platforms for delivering our services.
Lead strategic planning and set an example for time management and integrity.  
 
Academic Background & experience needed:
We're looking at a promising academic background with institutes of repute like IITs/NIT/BITS, etc.
