CTO Opening with on demand home services startup, Mumbai

Designation: CTO (Has to build the tech team)

Location: Mumbai 

Compensation: 20-25 lacs p.a + equity 
Experience band: At least 5-8 years of relevant experience post education.

3 years old & rapidly growing, Belita is India's first and biggest 'On demand home salon' with solid consumer base in Mumbai. In an - Uber-Like- model, their platform empowers beauty professionals to deliver great customer experience and derive greater value. The founder team (IIT Madras and MBA) patiently spent lot of time experimenting-failing-experimenting and defining the model, which is now ready for super scale. Belita has been backed by leading seed fund IndiaQuotient and many well-known angel investors. A grand vision is only as good as the execution. As customers clamour for their services and they expand rapidly, they need a team to take the model and scale it in current locations and launch in many new more locations and create value for all. Also a powerful tech team, that creates simple, sublime tech for the consumers to interface with.

Job Profile:

Role

Quick Summary: 3-7 Years exp, IIT / BITS/ NIT / Reputed Institutes passouts with start up experience preferred.

• The individual would be directly responsible as the custodian of the complete technology piece. 
• Responsible for building the whole tech team from the ground up.
• To start off, the company has the product built from an outsourced vendor, so to handle its transition to inhouse tech teams. 
• Experience in leading (if not building) a Consumer Tech platform.
• Designing, delivering, enhancing and operating a scalable, high-volume consumer product.
• Demonstrating a high bar in sourcing, hiring and managing a world class software development team.
• Ideally, has work experience in start ups building consumer tech.
• Highly passionate and motivated individual who has the drive to work and excel in a startup environment

Academic Background/Experience: 

• 3 - 7 years of progressive experience in design and development of consumer internet products with  2 or more years at a tech lead level.
• A Computer Science engineering degree or equivalent and/or advanced degree preferably from IIT / NIT / BITS, etc  
• Strong ability to lead a team of world class software development engineers.
• A hands-on results/delivery-oriented professional who has proven/potential ability to drive high caliber tech teams working in a  start up environment.
