Company Profile: A funded food tech startup, looking for a competent co-founding team.

Job Profile:

Quick Summary: With 2-5 Years exp in UI / UX design experience in Consumer tech in a design evangelist Role.

Who you are: The awesome news is, You will be a key member of the founding team and hence, a pivotal, senior level design professional. With great design thinking skills & your finger on the pulse of new age design methodologies, you basically have the ability to understand our product’s vision, and translate it through unique design solutions in collaboration with internal & external teams .You will have at least 2-5 years of experience in design in the consumer tech field, and are ready to get behind the wheels of a growing food tech company as it readies to grab a $20 Billion market. With a creative but practical spirit, you love the spirit of adventure and are looking to take on responsibility in building something concrete, dipping into the boundless potential our company has.

Role:

• Lead efforts to keep the interface beautiful and easy to use. Direct the visual appearance of all new features and enhancements on our software application
• Initiate, suggest, and spearhead major UI / UX re-factorings for a more intuitive user-experience
• Design elegant solutions to complex workflows. Design things that people will talk about
• Act as the user-advocate during the development process, subjecting early-stage designs to usability testing or expert review, and offering implementation suggestions from a user-centered perspective
• Act as “go to” with in-depth knowledge of user interface best practices and standards. Use research-related services, theories and methods to support your recommendations
• Take the initiative in providing input and feedback in both departmental discussions and on issues relating to other departments
• A deep understanding of current technologies and design trends, and the desire to innovate using digital platforms
• A strong eye for detail
• Work well in a participatory, team-based environment
• Positive and enthusiastic with a drive for continuous learning and skill development
• of self & team.
• Take ownership of product user experience and design the interactions and interfaces
• Researching and articulating user’s needs to design interfaces from the perspective of target audience
• Wire framing, prototyping  for a complete responsive design - mobile, desktop and accessories
• Document design rules and design pixel perfect mock-ups.

Academic Background/Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma, or equivalent experience in design, preferably from a HCI discipline
• Demonstrable inclination towards User Experience design and User Centered Design process
• 3 to 5 years of experience developing interactive products as an Information Architect, Interaction Designer, User Experience Designer or User Interface Designer
• Portfolio should demonstrate knowledge of UI/UX design for iOS, Android and web (mobile/desktop/responsive).
• Fluency in Photoshop to generate quick layouts/ grids
• Fluency in Powerpoint as a wire framing tool and demonstrable skills in making power point presentations
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills in English
• Preferred Qualifications of User Experience Designer:
• Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Illustration and drawing skills
• Highly organized and capable of working on simultaneous projects to meet tight deadlines
• Effectively collaborate with a team as well as take initiative and work independently to solve problems
