Nestopia is a funded + self monetizing online interior design & development marketplace based out of Mumbai with all its business, design, affiliate partner development, delivery and procurement activities all being carried out in-house. Their primary focus is on executing the massive business leads for varied projects for home, commercial, builders, hotels & otherwise that come to them. The project sizes vary from singular to multiple mid & large sized deals.

This fast growing internet startup plans to strengthen their inhouse teams due to their growing reputation bringing in more & more great projects to work on. At present they have generated over 500 Crores in business enquiries & have executed a huge part of it too. The first step is find an Interior Designer to work alongside the founding team on small to large projects from concept design to documentation & execution alongside the Project Management team.

Their portfolio of completed works includes individual houses, new projects, commercial and hotel properties & varied other projects. They provide a collaborative environment for their employees to grow, learn & thrive in as they continue to grow. 

This is a permanent role, requiring a high level of commitment to the practice – they seek longevity with their team as a key to the success of the company. The salary package offered will be commensurate with your skills and experience level.

We are looking for an artful interior designer to undertake a variety of space designing projects. You will deal with design from conceptual development and liaising with the stakeholders to managing and executing the design.

The goal is to design practical spaces but yet visually pleasing.

Responsibilities

• Undertake design project from concept to completion

• Define project requirements and schedule during the “brief”

• Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans

• Set costs and project fees according to budget

• Research and decide on materials and products sourcing

• Produce “sample” and “mood products”

• Supervise work progress

• Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and constructors

• Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practises

Requirements

• Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)

• Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs

• Excellent portfolio of previous works

• Creative talent, imagination and eye for design

• Communication and presentation skills

• Project management skills

• BS degree in Interior Design or similar

Academic Background/Experience: 

• At least 5-8 years’ experience in residential/commercial/hotel/mixed use/corporate interiors
• Interior design diploma/degree or other equivalent qualification
• Strong experience in technical coordination and drawing production
• Good client management skills
• Experience in space planning/conceptual design/sketching
• Furniture and materials awareness
• Proficiency in Sketch Up, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project
• Fluent written and spoken business English
• A good team player
