The company is a promising start-up in the fintech (financial technology) space. Our vision is to offer consumers the most convenient and flexible way to pay for everyday transactions. We are looking to revolutionize consumer lending and payments for digital transactions in India whether they occur on a desktop, mobile and or in store through the use of cutting edge analytics leveraging big data. An early stage, Mumbai based Payments Start up, whose founders come from some of the biggest BFSI / Technology / Internet companies, are building a path breaking payments product & are looking to build a lean, core team. Based out of Lower Parel, they're looking for a VP - Engineering.

Job Profile:

Role: We are looking for a passionate technology leader – VP of Engineering who would play a key role in the growth of one of the pioneering business in the Payments / Fin-tech industry in India. The individual will be responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading the efforts to build a world class product from scratch.

The VP of engineering would be a part of the leadership team and be responsible for the strategic evolution and associated road maps of product architecture and design and would be expected to be a catalyst and change agent. This person will need to successfully engage with functional and domain experts to build a relevant, cutting edge product.

• The individual would be directly responsible for designing, delivering, enhancing and operating a distributed, scalable, high-volume consumer product.
• He would be responsible for building the product on mobile also.
• Spearheading the product vision till the product is live and the building a product team.
• Demonstrating a high bar in sourcing, hiring and managing a world class software development team.
• Ideally, has work experience in financial technology industry in firms such as Amex, First Data, PayPal or in consumer internet companies like as Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Flipkart, Amazon or even a startup in the same space. 
• Highly passionate and motivated individual who has the drive to work and excel in a startup environment

Academic Background/Experience: 

• 8 - 12 years of progressive experience in design and development of consumer internet products with  3 or more years at an engineering leadership level.
• A Computer Science engineering degree or equivalent and/or advanced degree.  
• Strong technical background with good understanding of product development life cycle(spec definition to release)
• Strong ability to lead a team of world class software development engineers.
• A hands-on results/delivery-oriented professional who has proven/potential ability to drive high caliber engineering teams working in a world class enterprise environment.
